Calming my heated skin from sun's long kiss

Freshly cut grass, and fragrant flowered trees

These delicious aromas fill my nose

Ivy-laced lattice, vibrant hues of blooms

Bronzed, sandy beaches pleasing to the eyes

Children's amused laughter, birds cheery tunes

Water being splashed - music to my ears

Lovely sights and sounds, perfumed silky air

Senses come alive: first taste of summer
