Crabapple tree
On one of the Farms we lived on, I believe it was the second, but I'm not a hundred percent sure. We had a crabapple tree.
None of us like crab apples, I don't think we ever did anything with the crab apples. But he insisted on buying a ladder tall enough so that we could pick the apples. It was a 12 or 16 foot a frame.
I remember me and my brother out there picking these crab apples. He kept trying to talk me into jumping off the top of the ladder and breaking an arm, because if both of us couldn't do it then neither one of us had to do it. Notice wasn't him volunteering to jump off the ladder. Because my big brother was asking me to do it I tried a couple of times, and just couldn't get myself to jump off the top of that ladder. So the next plan was him trying to talk me into spraying brake cleaner on my arm and setting it on fire. I simply wouldn't let him do that. So we wound up picking crab apples.
And like I said none of us like crab apples, and I think they just set in the baskets and rotted.
This was the first time we lived in a two-story house, our kids room were on the second floor. So I can't help but wonder if the only reason he made us get a ladder and pick those apples is so he would have a ladder tall enough to peek in the windows.
Based on a few brief flashes of memories and some impressions I believe the games were continuing. My sister would have friends from school over to spend the night in her room. And I have fuzzy memories of them putting on stripteases for us.
Me and my brother were still sharing a room on that farm and I have suspicions that we sometimes played with out J in the room.
Not knowing for sure it's kind of driving me crazy. I know a lot of people on this list really hate remembering, and I can understand that. Now I may change my mind in the future but right now not knowing is harder on me than knowing.
