Hey everyone

I'm new here and incredibly grateful to have found this site. Reading all the posts have warmed my spirit. Yay

I'm 22 years old, and finally broke the silence about one abuser last summer, and about my father about a month ago. While this has been a difficult journey, especially the last month, i'm incredibly grateful for the wealth of support that is out there (although not so much within my own family). Thanks everyone for stickin around!!

dereliktdauter, welcome to After Silence! I am so happy that you found this place, it is such a safe, supportive place to be. I am sorry to hear what you have gone through. Know that you are not alone. It is good that you have broken the silence and started your journey of self-healing. We are here for you. Take care of yourself.

I am a 33 year old divorced mother of 5. I was molested by my father from the age of 7 to 15 when I was placed in foster care. After 3 trials, he was aquitted. After a long journey through fear and pain, I have decided to speak out. I am following my heart and pursuing my lifelong dream of writing a book. I am writing my own story along with stories of other survivors.This is our way to speak out against child abuse and hopefully save the lives of innocent children. Don't we owe it to them? Please email me with your stories. Let's take a stand together!!!

Welcome to after silence. It is never easy to break the silence, takes so much courage. I hope you will feel comfortable here to say whatever you want to when you need to.
