Women only Rape Recovery meeting, Asheville, NC
Description:
This group is not for women who have been recently raped. This group is for raped women who have some recovery. It is intended for women who have actually been through the experience.
Interested parties such as family members, husbands and boyfriends are not welcome. This policy protects the anonymity of members.
Come with your first name only. In that way your anonymity will be protected.
The meeting is intended to support women and to give them a safe place to talk about their experiences especially what has helped us most. It will be a place where you can talk about people and situations that trigger fear and anger. It is a place to forgive, forgive not only the rapist but also family members, loved ones and friends who have failed us, who don’t understand us.
The meeting will be run like a 12 step program that has been adapted to our own needs. How do you deal with fear? What are you doing to keep yourself safe? Do you have problems with relationships? Do you fear rejection? Why do people blame the victim and support the rapist? These are all topics that can be discussed. I need more healing. Come and be healed along with me.
For more information call 828-687-9879.
