Hi Everyone,

My name is Meghan and I just signed up. I'm conflicted/struggling with what happened and haven't really had anyone to talk to. I don't really know anyone who has gone through something like this.

I've never used forums before so I'm not really sure how all of this works yet. If y'all have any suggestions for a newbie, please let me know!

Hi Meghan,

It is difficult to feel conflicted and struggling over the things that happened, but I can assure you that those are common feelings among survivors. It's hard to not have had anyone to talk to I bet. That was the major reason I joined here was so I wouldn't have to be alone with what I had gone through.

I hope you find AS (After Silence) to be a friendly, kind, safe, and compassionate place where you can find support as you work on healing from the things that happened to you.

Welcome here, meg! I hope you find the support, understanding, and compassion you so deserve. I'm sorry for what you've endured that has brought you to After Silence, but you're not alone here.

Something I'd suggest for a newbie like you is taking your time going through the forums, threads, etc; to read through different things, to get an idea of how these forums work. You'll find there are a variety of different threads in different forums to discuss all types of topics. Also, know that there is no pressure to share. It's up to you, on your own terms, what you feel you want to share.
