Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to everyone. I found this forum through one of your members (thanks Haullie) who contacted me after visiting my website. I am a SURVIVOR of child sexual abuse and after about 6 years into my healing journey I finally am able to make that statement without tears. Saying I'm a survivor gives me a feeling of triumph, joy, and mainly relief, in that, I now understand I no longer feel I have to hide from my past. From facing my past, I've gained strength, courage, and a renewed spirit. Although I've made good progress, there are still areas I continue to work on, but I've never felt more alive and I want to share my experience with others so they'll know it is possible to step out of the darkness. We can do it together by "breaking the silence." My journey began in 1998, hence my username - freedom98. I'm happy to be here!
