Hi, Not Really Sure What To Write

Hi,

I'm an 18 year old from England. I have recently been diagnosed with PTSD, among other mental health issues, after beginning to talk about the abuse that happened to me after bottling it up for 2 years. Since doing so I seem to be getting more nightmares and flashbacks and feel scared all the time. Not many people know what happened and I wanted to find support from people who would understand better. Things are hard and I am struggling to process and deal with what happened but I keep fighting each day. So yeah, it's a bit of a rubbish introduction but hiya

I've never really replied to anyone's first post on here before but I realized my writing might also help another person with their healing.

It's good to write down your feelings, and telling your story to some you trust. You may not always get the response you would hope. But everyone on this site has gone through a similar experience to understand what you are going through which helps a lot.

Hope you find the healing you are searching for. I'm glad you are beginning to look for some support. You don't need to suffer in silence. I understand what it's like to stuff all your memories and feelings about your incident in the closet for many years. Personally I repress my incident for many years before acknowledging what happen and I'm sure this is common.
