Hi everyone. My name is Katie and I came to this site looking to connect with others and understand what I am going through. It has been 11 months since my attack and I am finding that my emotions are difficult to control. I have good moments and bad moments every day, and although I have been focusing on staying positive I am easily triggered into sadness or anxiety that is beyond my control. I have already gained a lot of insight from reading these forums and am grateful to hear from others who are going the same things as me. Its nice to hear others saying the things that I am too afraid to admit that I am feeling. My main goals right now are to create a healthier and more open relationship with my bf and to find some passion or goal to drive me in life. I only told 2 people about what happened to me and they are not naturally very supportive(don't get me wrong,i have no doubt that they care about me but they don't know how to help or talk about uncomfortable things like this). I would love to have some friends who I can completely open up to and who like to give advice. I look forward to meeting you all!

So sorry for the circumstances leading you here today. Yet as you've said, there's a lot of encouragement and support in these forums, and as you continue along the way, you'll find yourself getting to know some more personally. It's been a great source of knowledge, advice, and support for me when need-be. If you're seeking advice, advice you shall find. If you're wanting to just sit down and do nothing, you'll have people to "do nothing" with you.
