Hi, I'm new here and I'm very nervous about this. I was raped 4 years ago.

This is the first time I have ever told anyone. I did everything I could to push

it away and pretend it didn't happen. I am very ashamed of it and I know it

is my fault. I need to forgive myself and I can't seem to do it.

I started searching and I found this board and I thought it might be a place

I could come and learn how to forgive myself and maybe help someone else

at the same time.

I don't know what else to do anymore.

Firstly I am sory to hear about what happened to you, but it wasn't your fault, please believe that.

I know sometimes it can get muddled and feel like the things that have happend to us were our fault but they weren't.

Please don't feel ashamed of yourself, you have done a great thing by finding this board and 'admitting' that you would like to 'talk' with someone about how your feeling ~ be proud of yourself for that ...

i hope you find the support you want here, its a board full of lovely firendly people, who often have words of wisdom or advice, or simply some hugs... but its nice to know that while we haev this board we are not quite so alone anymore.
