Moon, I like you but you are the one giving guff. This is the definition of guff: "trivial, worthless, or insolent talk or ideas." Really? You think expanding this list to encompass services for men as well as women is a trivial, worthless, or insolent idea? Really?!

My comment is not addressed specifically at you. I happened to see this thread in the recently updated list and it caught my eye because I live in CT. My comment is addressed at this site as a whole. I see list after list after list of organizations, generally 50% of which are geared towards women. And I'm sure that's all well and good.... for women, but this is a site for everybody. If we're going to have a list of resources which can only help X percentage of the people who frequent this site, it would be really nice if we could cram as much information into that list as possible so that men who are in desperate need of help can actually find it instead of cold calling 15 different phone numbers from local womens' organizations before they most likely give up and go without help.

I don't need help personally from any of these organizations. I have a job with good insurance and I can afford to get treatment at my insurance provider's expense. A lot of guys are not so lucky.

So, I'll pose this question, and this too is addressed to everyone on AS:

How do we make this resource better?

I am willing to call some numbers on the above list in the pursuit of more complete information because this is an issue that I find extremely important, but I can't do this alone and I can't do it for every state, province, territory and whatever else. I am so open to suggestions here! I want to make this resource better so that it serves everybody, and that is my sole concern.

Is there an admin who would be willing to discuss changes to the Aftersilence site to better present this information? I have a background in web design and I may be able to either come up with a better solution or at least present some ideas for discussion amongst those AS members which the technical knowledge (there are many of us) to rebuild this site for the better. I'm not referring to the forum, I'm referring to the actual http://www.aftersilence.org page.

I'm looking for someone with sufficient administrative privelages to speak on this issue. I will post separately in the feedback dropbox with a link to this thread.
