Finally Seeking Help.

i'm Adrienne and I'm 21.

It's been four years since my assault and after shutting it out for years I am only just beginning to deal with what happened to me.
I won't elaborate on my story in this post but I am so grateful to find a place where I can talk about it and get support from people who understand exactly how I am feeling.
I have very few people who I can talk to in real life so this site is a God send.

I've never really replied to anyone's first post on here before but I realized my writing might also help another person with their healing.

It's good to write down your feelings, and telling your story to some you trust. You may not always get the response you would hope. But everyone on this site has gone through a similar experience to understand what you are going through which helps a lot.

Hope you find the healing you are searching for. I'm glad you are beginning to look for some support. You don't need to suffer in silence. I understand what it's like to stuff all your memories and feelings about your incident in the closet for many years. Personally I repress my incident for many years before acknowledging what happen and I'm sure this is common.
