I am pleased to have found a place where others have gone through a similar experience. I have reached a point where I am ready to share my story. I am beyond denying the incident and past wholly blaming myself although, I still think about what I could have done differently. This forum should help me move past the blame. Welcome to AS. I am sorry for the trauma that you have suffered, but you have found a very supportive site. When I came here, I had been in denial, as well. I believe it is common, just as the self-blaming and the wondering. You were not to blame one bit. The only ones to blame for abuse is abusers. I hope you find what you need to move beyond the doubts. I do wish you the best on your healing journey.
