Not sure what to say, but I am new here. ...Trying to accept I am a victim/survivor even though I've been working as a crisis line advocate for awhile. Makes it more difficult, I guess. Don't know what else to say?

Completely understand being embarrased / nervous to post here, it can be incredibly nerve-racking! Glad you have done tho hey

It can be quite monumentally difficult to accept that we actually have experienced what we've experienced too

Really hope that you will find this place helpful for you with coming to terms with all of this and that you settle in here at a pace that suits you

I can really understand that, I must admit I really love the fact this place is kind of anonymous too Makes it feel like a really gentle sort of halfway house between complete denial and too scary public exposure

I hope you'll feel able to share as much or as little as suits you, when it feels right for you
