Hello From A Newbie!

Hello everyone.

I am new here, and this is my first post. I found this message board just surfing the Internet looking for a place like this.

I just started therapy, about four weeks ago, for my PTSD, and thought this may be a place to help me get through the space between sessions, just to have someone else to talk to, who understands.

I am a survior of incest, that went on for 19 years. I am just now starting to deal with it, on a professional level. I was diagnosed with moderate PTSD, and have found a psychiatrist I am beginning to trust.

On Monday, I had a small breakthrough in session, and I am having a difficult time dealing with it this week. I told my therapist (actually I wrote it down, because I couldn't bring myself to say it), something I have never told anyone in my life. It feels very strange to me now.

I won't ramble anymore, in this introduction. I am glad i found this board, and hope to make new friends here.

I am hoping therapy will get easier over time. This has been a hard week for me.

I have been doing alot of reading, before posting too much. I want to get a feel for everything.

From what I see, this is a hugely supportive place, and I am going to like it here.
