What Did You Do For You Today?

Today I stayed in and kept the TV/radio off.

Finished the first blanket (of the 13 I make each year at Christmas, for the DV transitional living apartments). It kept my mind busy.

Today, I will get back to my gym routine and my healthy eating plan.

Went to therapy and bought more yarn, for the blankets I make.

It was one of those days when nothing less than firing up the espresso machine and making a decent cup of coffee would do. It may take a lot more effort, but it was worth every yummy sip!

I asked a good friend not to sit next to me in art T 'cause I'd be tempted to talk instead of work. And she moved, no more questions asked!

I worked on another blanket.

I replaced negative thoughts with positive ones as much as I could today.

I sat quiet and painted in class. Paid for it later when my hand gave out...but it felt really good to paint.

I called in sick, took my daughter went with my daughter on her school field trip then went home and napped.

Went to dinner with my daughter (just the two of us), watched a movie and snuggled together. Today we are going to her swim meet.

Between the bus stop and the door to my T's office is a lovely maple tree. Having plenty of time, I stopped and hugged it before I went inside. Did I look silly? Probably. Do I care? Not a whit. Will stopping to hug my maple tree friend become a going-to-T ritual? Almost certainly.
