Finally Brave Enough

Recommended Posts

Hi, my name is Courtney. It's been years since its happened, but I have kept myself very busy over the years. While in school I worked almost full-time leaving me no time to deal with what happened to me. I am now going to start taking steps to talk about it and deal with it.

Courtney,

I think you are both brave and wise to begin taking steps to heal. This is a great place to vent, share, open your heart as there are some incredible survivors here with great insight, wisdom, and most importantly, a CARING HEART. I wish you every success.

Hi Courtney, Welcome. :flowers: "While in school I worked almost full-time leaving me no time to deal with what happened to me." I was like that, too.... it has been so worth it delving into it. It has taken me healing places I never thought possible, leaving me more present for everything in my life. Best of luck. :luck:

Hi Courtney,

My name is Lynn, and I am a member of the New Member Support Team. I just wanted to take the time to say welcome to After Silence. The "being still and dealing with" part can be hard. It is easier to stay in motion and activity to avoid what is within. I have been and often am still struggling with doing the same.

I hope that you find comfort and healing as you visit here. I am glad that you have joined with us and look forward to getting to know you. If you need anything or have questions about the boards or how something works, please send me a personal message. I will gladly help in any way possible...also if you need someone to listen, let me know.

Take care,
