Hi I'm new here, thought it was about time I deal with this head on. I'm not getting any younger and I feel that time is running out for me to get it together. I was abused by my dad at a very early age, I have a difficult time expressing how I feel or talking about what happened. I hope being here with people who have similar problems I may feel safe to unload my demons.

Hi ... I hope this site gives you an opening for talking about it - I had a similar experience and kept it bottled up inside for years. I have now written a book sharing my feelings as a teenage girl as I struggled to understand why my father had done the things he did and how my mother could abandon me to him. The book is called RAISED BY COMMITTEE because that is what happened - I was sent to live in a children's home where I was literally raised by a committee of people. It's selling on Amazon and has had some great reviews already. Anyhow, I hope you can find your voice too - it feels good!
