Heya!

This is always my least favorite part of going to new forums and stuff - the introduction. I never know what to say, I get worried that people will just ignore it and I'll be off to a crappy start, soooo...bear with me here. I'm nervous.

My name's Shawn. I'm a 22-year-old male, and I was raped several times in my childhood. I don't wanna get too deep into it until I get around to posting my story in the appropriate forum, buuuut, needless to say the rapes left me with a great deal of emotional scars. The only person I've really opened up to about it is my best friend, who I've known since I was about 10. He's very supportive and I appreciate it a lot, but he really hasn't been through anything close to what I have. All he can really provide is "That sucks. There, there." I need to be friends with people who know my pain, so that we can support each other and get through it together. Does that make sense?

Anyway...umm...I get the feeling I'm getting a little too detailed for the introduction forum. Soo...basic stuff... I work a fast food job, I'm not in college yet, I like hanging with friends, going to movies, surfing the net, playing video games, writing, reading comics, annnd....a lot more, just not sure what else to put. X_X
