Greetings! 57 And Just Starting To Heal.

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. I am 57 and did not even acknowledge that what was done to me when I was younger was a problem until recently. I am again starting counseling, this time finally with some clue about where my lack of self esteem and recurrent depression began. Thanks for this forum. I am hoping not only to share my story, but also to perhaps help those of you who are much younger to not let these painful experiences impact your quality of life. Or your ability to have meaningful relationships. :ThankYou:

Hi Antoinette and welcome. I also only started dealing with my "stuff" relatively recently. I am 52 and there are a few of of us older ones about.

Looking forward to seeing you around.

I understand. I just changed the script, changed the story and eventually made myself "forget" about it. But it was like a cancer all the same.
