Thank you for accepting my request to join. My name is Kevin

and I am a secondary survivor. I am so sorry a place like this

has to exist, but am glad I found it. I may be here while, simply

because my Fiance is still on here own pace telling me about what

happened. I know I need to be patient and let her set the course.

I know all the feelings I am having, and can't even imagine what

you all have been through and how my feelings pale in comparrison

to yours. Thanks to AnneMarie and Jackie for the notes to me.

Hi kevin, I replied in your other post too, the healing process is a long one, i'm not there 12 years on, and it is good that your allowing your partner to work through her feelings in her own time.

never worry that others stories or feelings are somehow worse than yours. We are all here for a reason, we have all been through hell, whether we have lived it or supported someone through it and it is hard for anyone.

getting support with your own feeling will, i'm sure, help you to support your partner. My husband will tell you that listening to me takes its tollon him and sometimes he needs help too.

Thanks for the kind words and offer of help.

I may take some of you up on this. I know the

person I am with is my soulmate but I also know

it's going to be a journey to get back to close

to where she was. I would do anything for this woman

and I know I can't fix what happened ( a guy thing ya know).

However, if I can do anyhing to understand and make it

possibly less hurtful I will do whate ever it takes.

I'm still just hearing little bits of what happened.

She is not at a point where she will even use the "R" word.

She is setting the pace and I am simply wanting to be there for her.

This was a date rape and I "think" it happened more than 1 time.

She is very stubborn and proud so any pushing I would try to do

may just push this back inside, so that is not what I'm going to do.

Thanks again everyone, you are all in my thoughts and prayers
