Hi everyone.... I am Angelique..though I end up being called Ang most of the time, and I am not a fan of the other shortenings like 'Angela', 'Angie', etc. No offence to anyone who happens to own these names! And apologies in advance to those I may have upset 33 and single and a survivor of different forms of child abuse.

I have been a sufferer on and off of different forms of abuse, but have always ended up convincing myself that I am just being stupid and need to tough it up some! So I never do anything or say anything. When I was younger, I didn't open up for fear of worse to come. Now, I don't open up for fear of rejection.

Most people who know me whether it's a short time or a more lengthy one have no idea the things I have been through and still am dealing with ... most of them assuming, I simply don't talk about my personal life much.

Lately, things have worsened some, with some health issues popping up that quite likely are a result of some of the abuse I went through when I was younger, as well as trying to move forward from a nasty relationship with a recent ex.

So .... I guess I am right now thanking God for google! I am glad that I found somewhere to be able to open up when I feel I am able to - to people who aren't going to judge, think negatively or consider me some kind of cr*zy person.

Hopefully, I did this right and am hoping to find myself on the message boards reply, and contributing to people all over the place.

I'm so blessed you have come across your presence. I, too, tell myself to 'suck it up' when things get too tough or something...traumatic occurs in my life. I'd just like to let you know that you don't have to be strong for us. We're here for you and have your back all the way! 110%
