Scared

I'm not going to say too much too soon. I'm still scared that my abuser is going to find this. He lives near my house and comes to visit still. If he finds out I told someone again... *Shudder*

Anyway, I am here to learn how not to be scared. I want a man to be able to simply touch my shoulder or stand behind me without my freaking out. Sexual touch from a man is fortunantly something I won't have to face (willingly) as I am a lesbian. However, even a woman's touch scares me most of the time.

Maybe sometime soon I will be able to talk about things in detail... maybe it will help. Maybe I won't cry so much, flinch so badly, or have so many nightmares. Maybe I'll be normal again.

I'm glad you've joined After Silence. I'm sorry to hear that you're having to cope with the perp's presence and visits. I'd be scared too! Fortunately, the majority of the threads here (except those labeled PUBLIC) are only readable by registered members. Take your time, and know that you don't have to share anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.
