I'm Jenn.

I thought I'd been dealing with my past well. Then I read something on another site (a support site for something entirely different) that made me realize I hadn't been so much dealing with it as just pushing it all down and back.

Anyhow, I did some googling and found this site. I'll probably just do some reading around at first. I feel I'm probably the odd ball in some of what I did when I was younger to justify what was happening to me.

Anyhow, I'll be around.

I'm glad you've joined After Silence. I hope you find our community to be helpful and supportive. I'm sorry for what you've endured, and want you to know that many of us spent a lot of time trying to push things away. I think it's wonderful that you're ready to work on your healing.

Try not to worry too much about being an "oddball" in how you reacted to your trauma. I have a strong feeling you will come to realize other members here at AS have reacted in similar ways. But the real 'oddball' is the person or persons who hurt you.
