Hi there then. I've come here because my area doesn't have any support groups for sexual violence survivors/victims. I don't really like any of those words, but I guess they'll do. I've been raped more than once and it now seems important that I confront these old demons. Necessary, really. This site seemed like a good place to be.

I can relate to not knowing those words either, I often refer to those words as "survivors" when I say what I am, rather then a victim, and I can often talk about my abuse referring to it as simply "it". Generally people understand what I mean, so this might help you if you don't feel comfortable using those words.

I am really sorry for what brings you here, but I am glad that you have come here for some healing, and please know that his is a very supportive and healing place I am looking forward to seeing you on AS
