Hi GoldenLion. I'm also shy, but found that the friendly support here at AS helped me come out of my shell a bit. I'm sorry to hear you're doing poorly. I noticed you've made a few introduction posts in this thread, and am wondering if you're having trouble finding your way around? If so, no worries, I'm glad to assist. Perhaps I can direct you to a few threads where you can post about what's going on, and get some support? Here are some links (click the underlined text for the link).

Aftermath: This is a great thread for posting about issues you have in the aftermath of your trauma.

Need to Vent?: This thread is great for posting about having a bad day, or just having a lot of stress and anxiety, and needing to just voice it, and get some support/compassion.

Just a Silly Phase I'm Going through: These threads are great when you don't really want to deal with trauma related issues, and want some fun/distraction for a change.

Share Your Story: This thread is for sharing about what happened to bring you to AS. Sometimes, just typing out what happened can be a release, and it can also help you to recognize that it wasn't your fault when others offer support and understanding.

If you need any assistance in navigating the boards, please feel free to PM me, or post in this thread, and I'll do my best to answer any questions, or direct you to the information or section you want to read or participate in.

I hope you feel better soon. Just in case you're not aware, in order to use the Private Messaging feature, you simply click the link in black text beneath the After Silence header image. It's on the far right side of the screen, and reads: New Messages. Once you've clicked this link, it takes you to your messenger screen. On the left side in black bolded type, the option to send someone a message reads: Compose New Message. You can click that in order to create a private message to a member or staff.

You then type in the full username of the individual. Then immediately below that, type in your message title. I usually use "hi", hehe. Once you're ready to send, look towards the bottom of the screen for the button that reads: Send Message. Once you've clicked that, your message will be sent to it's recipient.
