What do the teal and purple ribbons stand for?

Teal is for rape and sexual assault.

I believe purple is for domestic violence (not sure)

I always just saw them as a sign of healing, so I see them much as I see the Lotus, but I never really thought about it, it is a good question to ask, I will be interested what there intention was when they where made.

I didnt know about those ribbons - the only one I am very familiar the pink ribbon for breast cancer.

We should have a recognition day for Teal ribbon - you know?
