Kelly726
Hi, I'm new here on the boards but i'm glad I found them. Ive posted a few times but figured it was time to post an intro Lets see a little about me, I'm Kelly, and i'm 24. Originally from IL, but just finished up grad school in TX, hopefully will be able to start a new job in the next few weeks. I love to run (marathon junkie!) and pretend I know how to paint I was raped in June, and am just starting to kinda deal with the aftermath. I started therapy in August, and medication for PTSD about a month ago, but things are still rough. I have a great support system, but its hard becaue I feel like i'm always trying to act normal, like things are alright, because nobody really gets it. Hoping I can connect with some people in similar situations on the boards. Edited October 31, 2007 by Kelly726 Link to post

I'm Gian and I can see that you're already kinda accustomed to AS but yea... we're really here for you, if you need to talk to someone I'm open as a shoulder. But uh yea... so I really hope that everything works out for you and acting like everything's normal is just a defense mechanism for most PTSD sufferers... don't worry about it though, it'll pass with time and comfort ^.^ Link to post
