winnieAlex
Hello, I'm new, kinda obvious. I'm fairly young I must say compare to other people on this site. I'm turning 18 tomorow. My father molested me when I was a kid. For what I believe to be app. a decade (app. 3 until 13) I must say I have a hard time talking about it. Fear of being rejected and judge. And sadly that fear as been fulled at some occasions. Like many, I feel I have been cheated out of justice. Quote from a detective "We will not prosecute and destroy the reputation of a pharmacist on the accusations of a 14 year old". I'm nervous and I hope I did not write too much. I don't really know what else to say. Link to post
Atlantis
Hi WinnieAlex, First off, I'd like to wish you a happy birthday for tomorrow. The story you tell is appalling and you are very brave to tell it. I hope you find what you are looking for here and you can move on to find happiness and justice. In the meanwhile, you have found friends here. Look after yourself. Atlantis Link to post
tumbleweed57
Hi winniealex, so sorry your turning 18 under these circumstances. I'm very sorry too that the cop said what he did? Thats not right. I too was molested by my father for six years. I haven't told anyone, well, atleast in my immediate family, told a few friends but nothing really came of it, no one turned into my hero. I'm here for you any time you want to talk. try to enjoy your birthday, do something fun you like to do! its your day!! I remember my 18th, i'm 30 now, time goes by so quick. But my memories are so fresh of my younger years. I wish i could say it gets easier with age. But stay strong and know your not alone. Take care hun, and happy birthday!! :bighug: Link to post
Katia60
Hi WinnieAlex, I'm so sorry for what you have gone through. I see it has been tough, but I also see your strength. It is hard when we are judged, I know the pain of that as well. I think amongst survivors that is something that happens much much less. I hope that you find the kind of loving and healing support that you deserve. Take care. Kate Link to post
