Hi Hummie, here!

Recommended Posts

I'm a recent graduate! I'm currently still healing and I realize, now, maybe it never really ends, perhaps we just become more resilient. I became a survivor when I was very young, but I hadn't realized it yet. Thank you for providing a place for us to speak. :)) Have a nice day

Hi Hummie and welcome!

I am very sorry you experienced some trauma as a child...it is unfair and undeserved to be hurt so. I am glad you have found us tho, as our community is filled with understanding and kind members. You truly are not alone.

I do agree with your thought process. Healing can be lifelong, but we can manage the struggles more as we go and can realize that we can have more good days, than bad. It's unfair, but being a survivor is much more than a word, don'tcha think? It's what we do in not letting ourselves give in to all the bad things. To keep fighting and moving forward.

Feel free to look around and jump in where you feel comfortable in doing so. I wish you well as you continue this journey with us.

Mary

Welcome to AS, @hummie-bird. I'm glad you found your way here, though I am terribly sorry for what you've experienced that caused you to be a survivor so young. It was undeserved. Healing takes time, and yes, it can take our whole lives! There's no timeline for healing, but I'm proud of you for working on it. And congrats on graduating! :)

Take your time exploring the forums. You'll find a lot of very friendly and supportive people here. ❤️ Best wishes on your healing journey!
