Hello :) New here

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I'm Mahadev(not a real name, don't freak :p). Male, not a survivor, just a helper, I guess. My girlfriend revealed to me that she had been a victim of sexual abuse as a child, and I'm just figuring out how to best help her. I'm apparently the first person she's trusted enough to tell too, so yeah pretty honouring, but places a significant responsibility on me as well, since she's very sensitive (understandably) about that subject, and what I say about it has a great effect, so I don't want to risk accidentally hurting her or triggering something.

Yeah, that's about it, I'm just here to learn, I guess, and seek advice from you all about how best to help her in specific ways.
Thanks :D (And yeah, first post, so I'm probably uneducated about the formatting, if it exists)
