Well hello there!

I'm Yeenodon, agender person assigned female at birth (you can refer to me as she, I don't mind at all!). After struggling with consequences of terrible events I went through I decided to seek help and talk. Eventually I found this forum that was still active!

I hope to be able to find closure and finally moving on with life without memories living rent-free in my head. If I can also give back support, I would happily do so!

A few words about myself, I'm a young adult living in Europe. I'm a lover of natural history, particularly anything regarding extinct fauna and the evolution of life.

My favorite prehistoric animals are hyaenodon (I call them yeenodon as it sounds cuter) and dunkleosteus.

I would describe myself as friendly and nerdy, although a bit awkward at times as English is not my native language.

Hi there yeenodon,

Welcome to AfterSilence. I am very sorry for what you have gone thru and the struggles you have faced. Not only did you find an active site (yay!), you found a community with many understanding and kind survivors, like yourself. You are truly accepted and supported here.

We also have members from all over the world, so there are many who interact with English as a second language. You find yourself in good, but mixed company. It should be no problem in receiving support or interacting among the boards.

I admit you had me curious on the prehistoric animals you listed, expecting to see some version of Jurassic Park representatives as your favorite.  Tho both look fierce (which I am sure you are, as well), they are indeed animals that look perhaps predecessors to some current animals of today...including your yeenodon profile picture. I do like learning new things, so you taught me today! :)

Feel free to look around and interact where and when you are comfortable. No pressure, just acceptance. I wish you well as you move forward on this journey we call healing.

Mary

Welcome to AS, Yeenodon! I'm glad you found your way here. Yes, we are an active forum! :aswelcomesu: I am nonbinary and identify as agender, too, most of the time (gender can be confusing...so I'm stuck between just ID'ing as enby or being more specific with agender)...anyhoo.

You are not alone. I'm so very sorry for what you've been through that brought you here. You didn't deserve what happened to you. But you are among friends now that can relate to you and offer you a lot of support and kindness. ❤️

It's very cool what you are interested in! I never heard of either of those creatures, so it's very neat to learn something like this.

Sending you support and best wishes!

-Finch

I'm also happy to see a fellow enby/agender !
