Hi, I’m new here but I’m glad I found something where I can talk to other survivors, it can get lonely if no one knows how your feeling or the affects it can have if they’ve. Never experienced it

I am sorry for all that you have been through.   You have been so brave in reaching out to us, please know that this is never easy!   We are all here for you and we want to support you.  You're not alone in your healing journey and are always welcome to lean on us for extra support.  You can post as much or as little as you like.  We are here to support you in the way you need.  I have found this community to be very helpful.  Everyone is so understanding and non-judgmental and I am hoping you feel the same way once you've gotten to know us a little.

Hello I am stronger! I am Wanna  I want to wish you my warmest welcomes. I am also glad you've found us! 

First off, I am sincerely sorry for your trauma. Please know that we believe you, and that you own your story. None of what happened to you was your fault. 

Yes, it can indeed get lonely. People who have not experienced similar trauma can of course always sympathize, but when you relate to someone you can also empathize on an entirely different level. After Silence invites all kinds of survivors and we tend to find ways to relate to each other here. Our members form a wonderful support system. 

You can talk about anything you'd like here. Have a look around, feel free to browse the website a bit. If you would have any questions, need support, advice or to vent/chat, us staff always has doors open. 

By the way, I really like your profile name. Carries a good attitude!

Welcome to AfterSilence. I am very sorry for all you have been thru. Abuse is never right, fair, or deserved, but you will find much support here. Our members are understanding and kind. They do get it. I do think you are very right that so many people do not understand what we go thru, if they haven't experienced it themselves. Tho we wish this on no one, it is a bit easier finding others who do understand.

Feel free to look around and interact where you are comfortable. There is no pressure, so go at your own pace. We are here for you! I wish you well as you continue this journey of healing.
