Hello Ickyri,

Welcome to AfterSilence. I am so sorry you have experienced trauma and that you are struggling. What you went thru was undeserved. You will find much support here, as this community is filled with so many understanding members. Do know you are not alone. We are here for you.

Reaching out can be a very difficult, but you were very brave to do so. This is a safe place. I suggest you look around and interact when and where you find comfortable. The discovery of others who can relate has been a big step for all of us. It can help you feel so less alone. Healing is not easy, but it helps when we support and encourage one another. You will soon see this. Tho I am sorry you experienced something so bad, I am glad you found us. I wish you the very best as you find forward steps on this journey we call healing.

I’m so sorry you’re in a precarious place, and I hope you find support here. There’s post about having a sort of emergency bag for when you’re feeling overwhelmed. I tried to find it but couldn’t. @8888, are you able to locate the post I mean?

Basically you make a bag of comforting, grounding things. I put my fav stuffed animal, some fav snacks, a celebrity magazine, and some drawings from my nieces so far.

I’m so happy you found us. We’re all in this together ❤️

I am so sorry for what you are going through. I also find that grounding helps with triggers. I eat a lemon head when I am triggered, and it zaps me back into the present. I hope that helps you as well.

my warmest regards
