Hello everyone, 

I am a new member and after silence has been suggested by my psychologist. I was sexually abused at age 9 which has a big impact on my psychological well being. 
I don’t know exactly how joining this group would work out, but I think hearing females who might have similar experiences would be of a great support.

Welcome to AfterSilence. I am very sorry for what happened to you at the young age of 9. It was wrong for anyone to hurt you. Do know you are not alone and that you and your experience is validated. You will find tons of support here, as our community is filled with understanding and kind members. I am glad you were referred to us.

As a new experience, you should just take your time. Look around and if you feel comfortable, interact with other members. You can share as little or as much as you like. It's not an easy journey, but it can be helpful to know others can relate. I wish you many forward steps as you continue down this path we call healing.
