I am new to this forum and just wanted to introduce myself.  I am looking for a place to come to get support because I am dealing with a lot of memories and flashbacks and just needing support right now.  Thanks

I am sorry for all that you have been through.   You have been so brave in reaching out to us, please know that this is never easy!   We are all here for you and we want to support you.  You're not alone in your healing journey and are always welcome to lean on us for extra support.  You can post as much or as little as you like.  We are here to support you in the way you need.  I have found this community to be very helpful.  Everyone is so understanding and non-judgmental and I am hoping you feel the same way once you've gotten to know us a little.

Hello Bekah26, how are you? I hope you are okay. I'm sorry about what brought you here. On the other hand, I am glad you found this place for support.

It is normal to experience memories and flashbacks. I wonder how you cope with them?

I just started experiencing many memories myself. I had a big trigger recently. I have been practising what my counsellor taught me, grounding myself: what I can see, what I can hear, what I can smell, what I can taste, what I can touch. I talk to myself and try to bring myself back to the here and now.
