Nice to Michya!

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I’m Michi! I’m joining this site as a recommendation from a friend. I’m currently in a residential ED treatment center, where I’m forced to deal with my trauma head-on — it’s really tough, but I figured I could find some support here.

I’m 21, FTM transgender, and I’m a survivor of CSA, COCSA, and assault as an adult. I’m a very creative person and a lot of my processing takes place in the form of art — mostly writing prose, poetry or music. You may see me in the creators’ section every now and then — I likely won’t be too active until I leave residential, but I’m hoping to make new connections and hopefully receive some support, as well as support others.

I’m looking forward to getting to know you!

Hi @michimafu

Welcome to AS.  I'm sorry for the trauma that brought you here, but I'm glad you found the site and decided to join.  This is a supportive community and you will never be alone here.  Having a creative outlet can be really beneficial in the healing process.  Art is such a great form of self care.  If you are comfortable you are welcome to share some of your work on our Arts forums.  Talk some time looking around and post whenever you feel ready.  I look forward to seeing you around the site.  Wishing you the best.

Dear michi

Welcome to After Silence.  I am sorry to hear of the trauma you have been through!

Being here has helped me so much.   Everyone is so caring and supportive here.  I am proud of you for reaching out.  I know that is hard to do.  I also know that you will find that needed compassion and support here within our community.  Know we are here for you and we will listen whenever you would like to lean on us.

Take care and please do not hesitate to ask for any help if you ever need it.
