Getting through

Hi all. Thank you for stopping by to read

I am a survivor of childhood abuse. Feels strange to say it out loud.

I have many questions and am hoping that I can find others who can relate.

I’ve taken some positive steps by disclosing to  my close friends and sisters and I have signed up for therapy which will start  in about six weeks time. (waiting lists eh?)

In the meantime I’m hoping to find others who can help me through the next few weeks and I hope I can offer support to others too who may face similar challenges.

Welcome to AS. I am very sorry for what you went thru as a child. It was wrong and nobody has the right to hurt this way. I am happy tho that you have found us. Our members are very supportive and understanding. You certainly will see this as you look around the site. Take your time and when your ready feel free to jump in. You are not alone. Hi Elle welcome to AS,  I am sorry for the abuse you went through as a child. I am also a survivor of child abuse by my father. Yes it's hard to say out loud but it's your first step getting your power back. You will find lots of support here.

I am so sorry for the trauma that brought you to our cite.  The 6weeks will hopefully fly by for you.  This is a great place to start it’s full of kind caring supportive people who have all been through something.
