New here - hi!

Recommended Posts

I’ve just recently started therapy for my sexual abuse stuff (csa from 8-12, sexual assault from my high school boyfriend) and it’s been really hard so far. I have a lot of difficulty telling my story to people, and the only person I’ve ever told (before my therapist) is an ex-partner. Anyhow, I’m hoping this could be the first step in actually getting to talking about this in therapy and healing.

Hello, @rainbowvalley - welcome to After Silence.

I'm sorry to hear of the trauma you endured as a child and at the hands of your ex-boyfriend.  I will join you though, in hoping that being here is truly good first step toward recovery.  One of the things I like the most about this site is that you can say as little or as much as you like - you take it all at your own pace. :)

Looking forward to getting to know you.  Best of luck on your healing journey!

Best wishes,
Capulet

Sending you a warm welcome @rainbowvalley. I hope you find this place supportive to your healing.  It's a friendly place, and

as Capulet said you can say as much or as little as you want, and read as much or as little as well.  :notalone:
