hi, I was sexually abused as a child too. seems that it effects everything in your life. I recently lost my husband of 42 years and guess what, it threw me for a loop. so here I am for another round of healing

Welcome pahatfi to AS!  I'm sorry for the trauma you've endured as a child.  I also was as a child as well.  It definitely does effect everything in your life.  I'm sorry you lost your husband.  Take your time look around. Best wishes on your healing journey.

@pahatfi, I am so sorry you were hurt.  You didn't deserve that - nobody does.  And as you are probably well aware, it can have life-long implications and effects.  I'm also so sorry about your husband.  42 years is impressive - I'm just starting my 13th year.  I can't imagine life without him.  We're here for you.  This is a strong community with open arms and big hearts.  We all understand what it is to be violated.  And many, many of us have our own experience with intensely personal grief following the death of someone very close to us.  None of us have lived your exact life, obviously, but I think you'll be pleased with the amount of understanding you find here.  Not to mention the compassion and support.

Welcome to AS. I am very sorry for the abuse you endured as a child. It is very wrong for anyone to hurt another this way. You will find tons of support here, as there are so many understanding and kind members here. I am sorry for the loss of your husband. You spent many years together, didn't you? I am sorry for the pain you are enduring now. I wish you the best on your journey of healing.
