Hello everyone,

 

My name is Alanah.

I'm new here and I'm looking for support outside of my friends who I'm lucky to have in my life.

About two months ago, I was sexually assaulted by my now ex boyfriend. Not only am I dealing with that but I'm also dealing with the extremely awful break up which happened a couple weeks after what happened happened.

My family doesn't support me at all and don't believe me.

All I have are my friends who have been there for me through so much.

I dunno, I'm just looking for some more support I guess.

Welcome to AS Alanah. I'm sorry for what your ex boyfriend had done to you.  I'm sorry that you do not have support from your family, I can relate to that.  I'm glad you have friends you can lean on when needed.  You've found a supportive place where people understand and can relate.  Take your time look around say as much or as little as you like.  Best wishes on your healing journey.

Welcome to AS. Alanah, and sorry for what happened to you. I am glad you have supportive friends, but having an unsupportive family must be really hurtful. Hope you find some comfort here.

Hi Alanah,

Welcome to AS. Sorry for the trauma that brought you here, you will find us to be very supportive and mostly easy to make friends with. My family isn't supportive either so I never told them about what happened to me, so I can relate a little. You can heal and over come all these obstacles.

I am very sorry for the trauma you experienced at the hands of your ex and the lack of support from your family, but do know you have found a very supportive site with many understanding and kind members. I am sorry you were assaulted by your ex, it is so difficult when someone you know and trust hurts you in this way. I am glad you have supportive friends and hope you find more support here from people who can relate to your experience.
