I never thought I'd be writing an introduction like this one, but I suppose no one ever would. I was raped a few months ago by a man I worked for. I started therapy right away and it has helped a lot. My family and friends have been very supportive but I realize that there are certain thoughts and feelings I have that only other people who have been through a trauma like this will understand. I'm glad I found this site.

shoshi welcome to AS .I am so sorry the  trauma you have gone through. I am glad you are seeing a T and have a supportive family and friends. We are here to help you with your healing and for you to know you are not alone.

Welcome to AS. I am very sorry for the trauma that you have experienced, but you have found a very supportive site. I am glad that you also started self-care right away, as many victims either wait or ignore what they have gone thru. I know I did. We do understand what you are going thru and will support you as you walk this path of healing.
