I am new here...not 100% this is the place for me but im going to give it a try... Looks like i have had a different approach to being a survivor...but it is nice to see there is a place that survivors can come to and talk about their experiences. I will eventually post my story but not quite yet. Right now ive just been trying to be more supportive and help in what ways i can! Thank you for accepting me in here.

Hi Rmv, welcome to AS. I am glad you are going to give it a try. I think many of us have different approach of being a survivor. We all find a way that works for us. In the end all we want is to be understood, to know we aren't alone. I am the oldest of 4 sisters and each of us deal with the abuse in different. We look forward for your input and there is no hurry to tell your story. For me I have never told my whole story, just pieces.

Welcome to our community. I am sorry that you have experienced trauma, but am happy you have reached out to us. AS has many wonderful and understanding members. Patricia is correct, take your time and express yourself in your own way. There is no right or wrong way, just a group of survivors trying their best to find the right healing path. I wish you the very best on this journey.
