Just Joined: Am New

Hi,

 

I'm healingmary. I'm new. I just joined the site. I was recommended by my current therapist to join this site so I can heal from the trauma I have endured. I have so many doubts that anything ever even happened to me, but I also have proof that trauma has occurred in my own life. I hope I can be able to share my story here and be heard.

Hello HealingMary. Welcome to AS! It is my wish that you find this site as helpful and healing as I have in my healing journey. 

I am part of the NST (Newbie Support Team). What that means is that I (or any of the mods/admins/NST) can help/direct you as you learn how to use the forums. Should you have questions, feel free to send a PM to any one of the AS staff. 

You've taken a huge step in reaching out. This is a big step in healing from abuse of any kind. Take all the time you need in sharing.

Welcome to AS. I am very sorry that you have experienced trauma. Your therapist directed you to a very supportive and safe site. The members here are truly understanding and kind. I understand doubts. Sometimes the mind tries to protect us and we end up more confused and lost than we otherwise would be. You will be heard when you are ready, but go ahead and look around and become comfortable and share at your own pace. I wish you well on your healing path.
