New And Trying This Out. Looking To Heal.

Hi guys,

I just recently joined. I had a conversation with my mom this summer and found out I was sexually abused by my grandmother. I had a feeling and looked on a website, and found out I have dozens of symptoms. Then she told me. I get afraid of people not taking me seriously because I dont have concrete memory...I just turned 18. I'm trying to educate myself and learn how to heal. I figured this would be a good step.

Welcome to AS. I am very sorry for the trauma that you have suffered, but know that you have found a very supportive site. You will be taking seriously, and although you have some memory issues, you will be taking seriously here. Surprisingly, it's really not that uncommon, so you are not alone with that. I do wish you well on your healing journey.
