I have been very isolated my whole life because of the abuse I suffered. I am desperately seeking some sort of community to feel like I have something. I am a 26 year old poet with no friends except for my charming cat, Basil. I hope that we can become friendly types.

Welcome to AS. I am sorry for the trauma that you have suffered, but you have found a very supportive site. I can relate to the isolation due to trauma and how hard it can be. AS was the first time I could even say some of those words out loud. At this site tho, I have found that I am not alone. The members are kind and caring and treat you with respect. I wish you well on your healing journey.
