Ausnz
Hi, this is the first time I've gone all they way through to getting onto a website for support though wanted to for a long time..years of being silent are very hard to break the habit of so feeling a little scared for doing so. I am currently in trauma therapy and after 30 years finally have a therapist who is amazing (after many lost causes), and because she is the first I've ever been able to trust, I am finally getting to face the events of my life with the objective of healing, but it's a scary, horrible, traumatic, lonely place and just needing to be with others who understand. rt71
I am truly sorry for your and need to be here but I welcome you. This is a great place if you live alone, don't have someone to talk to, and need a place to vent to your concerns. I truly believe it helps to see that other people are going through some similar issues as you are. So far the site has been a big help for me. Please know that this is a very safe place and everyone has been very supportive. I truly believe it helps to see that other people are going through similar issues as you are. Cedars
Hi I am also new and find myself in a very similar place of working with a therapist I trust. It is ScArY but you are not alone in feeling that way, I'm scared too and when I saw your post it helped by knowing I am not alone in facing my fears as I work through the trauma. Hope that helps a little bit Link to post
MeBeMary
Hi Ausnz,Welcome to AS. I am sorry for the trauma you have suffered, but am happy you have found AS. It's taken a long time for many of us (I was at 32 years) to stop hiding and denying the past. It is never too late, so congratulations for trying to make things better for yourself. You will find the site has many understanding and kind people. I wish you well on your healing journey.Mary Link to post
