hi and welcome. i have tried and stopped therapy before too, so i know how that feels. u just have to find the right therapist for u... sometimes that can be tough, but u just keep trying. we all know how scary this can all be. just hang in there. the people here are great and can be a big help. baby steps are great and they are still steps toward your recovery. just keep working on it. welcome to AS, and i look forward to seeing u on the boards. -Mandy

hi and welcome to AS. i'm new here too. everyone seems really nice here. i know all about the PTSD and depression. i was diagnosed 12 years ago with both and have been on meds since.. i still struggle with both. i also used alcohol (and drugs) to cope. but anyway, welcome and don't be afraid to share anything here. we are all survivors... -mandy

I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I am a 26 year old survivor of both childhood sexual abuse and rape in adulthood. i think that sites like this one are a godsend. it is so much easier to talk with people that actually understand what one another are going through. this can be such a hard thing to talk about, but knowing that u really aren't alone in this makes it easier.
