Hi, this is my first time posting on a forum (ever) I’ve been reading posts on here for a few weeks now and thought I’d go for it and see what happens. I recently found a counsellor who is amazingly kind and understanding. With her help I find myself making huge changes to how I view the world around me and what is and isn’t acceptable. The sessions can be so difficult, as I’m sure many of you can relate with. I find myself wanting to talk more but with people who understand what I’ve been through, who understand the confusing thoughts and emotions attached to trauma. My friends, although they are wonderful just don’t get it and their comments can really hurt. I hope I can in time get to know some of you and hopefully we can find peace and support between us.
