driven by hate, consumed by fear

every day i want to cry

i don't like being ignored

i don't love you,
like i did, yesterday

i don't want to be defined by my face or my body

i feel so alone

i gave you everything i had and you threw it in the trash

i slept so long with my eyes wide open
i'm ripped in half as i stand
tears of melancholy fall

staring straight back at me?
why is my reflection someone i don't know?
somehow i cannot hide
who i am, though i've tried
when will my reflection show who i am inside?

lately i can't understand anything at all...

let down and hanging around
crushed like a bug on the ground

and my head aches just the same
