  2. Went blueberry picking with my friend and her furbaby today. Furbaby decided blueberries are nice and helped herself. I remembered today that me and this friend were supposed to go mini-golfing yesterday. We´re going tomorrow instead, my treat. She said she´ll be using the fact that I ditched her for a guy against me. I told her I will use her teasing me in the sixth grade against her. She let me off the hook. 😄

  3. Oboy oboy. I was adulting so much today! Pay day, so I transferred money into my savings account and payed my bills. I wrote my insurance company, did my work out, organized my clean laundry, showered... And I also went to see my friend after work before all of this. Busy day.

And tomorrow, I will get up at 4.45 am again... Vacation could note come sooner.

  4. Having a day off. I deep cleaned my room, the bath, am doing some laundry and have cancelled a subscription. I will have lunch soon and then do a gentle work out. Then I did what I had on today´s to do list. Really nice when life is just that simple.

  5. I watched a reel today with a quote going something like "Healing is not about becoming the best version of yourself, but letting the worst version of yourself be loved". That really stuck with me.

Aww wow. That's a really good quote!!

  6. Just a heads up, if my spelling seems off. I use a new browser, the Brave browser, which is great for privacy. However, it was created merely one year ago and I had to install an English spelling correction seperatly. For some reason, it works on every site but AS. When I do welcomings, I run my writing through another site and then copy paste it here. Just so you guys know ^^

  7. Hello and welcome here, I am Wanna Getting memories back later on, may it be weeks, months, or years, is very common. Our brain has a way to suppress specific memories, only to unleash them when we might not expect it. I am deeply and sincerely sorry for your pain and trauma. These were sick people, and none of it was your fault. We believe you, and you have nothing to be ashamed about. I am happy you´re already feeling the sense of a community here. Reaching out is a coragious thing to do. It is so important for our healing, to feel heard and understood. Feel free to PM me w

  11. Life lesson: Do that small extra thing for yourself. Get a pillow when you sit in the couch, chew some nice gum, buy that soda you´ve been craving or listen to that song that boosts you. I have been paying attention to those small things a lot lately and it has helped me. You know, those small details that makes your day more fun.

It's so hot and humid here, too. It's miserable. I hope that ice pop helped you out! And I hope that work improves for you. *huggles*

  13. Hello and welcome! I am Wanna, nice to meet you This is a great place for what you are aspiring for. After Silence carries a wide diversity of survivors, and our members are very kind. We tend to relate to each other here, and you get the chance to feel less alone. You seem to be taking your healing as high priority, which I second. I have done some therapy myself. The combination of professional help and a community is a good composition in a support system. We meet you wherever you might be at on your journey. You can throw me a PM any time! All best, W ☀️
  14. Hello @anakim and welcome here! I am Wanna btw No worries, you decide how often you´d like to sign in. We are here for you any time, so you can feel the sense of a community unconditionally. This is a safe place where you can share experiences, thoughts and feelings. You can vent, discuss and connect with fellow survivors. I hope you are safe and well, and despite trauma processing get to enjoy the summer a bit. Yes, the reasons that brought us here are indeed unfortunate. But we are stronger together, and that is beautiful Wishing you the very best, W ☀️
  15. If I have been a little distant, it´s because I worked a lot lately. I even stayed at a friend´s last night because my shift ended at 9.30 pm and my next was 06.45 am. So I slept over since she lives close. I will have some more time off soon, but my plate´s full right now

@mini.finch Yes, I nap a lot these days. Yesterday I napped so hard, as I woke up believing it was the next day.

  16. Aaaah! I have two days off in a row for the first time in a while. I had a Big Bang theory type of morning. I gently exercised, deep cleaned my room, did some laundry and organized my mail. Pay day tomorrow (since Friday is a national holiday), so I went extra with my pizza ordering. I shall be elite lazy for the rest of the day! I even forced myself not to do all my chores in a row, but to watch one episode of something inbetween. :supacool:

  17. Hello there, wishing you welcome as well! I am Wanna I myself have found great comfort in this forum. You can talk about pretty much anything and share in the amount you feel comfortable with. Everyone here has a different story, but we tend to relate to another here. We are here for you, wherever you are at healing right now and will be for ups and downs. All best, W
  18. Boy, got up at 5 so I could be at work by 7. Worked 7-4 with only a 30 minute break. It's a messy bun, scented candle and blanket kind of night. Will work again tomorrow, so recharging all night now!

  19. Oh, no problems at all! Always happy to help a newbie out
  20. Having today off, but working this weekend.

I had a shower, a walk, and now some caramel popcorn and ice tea.

My doctor will call in an hour, I have check up today on quitting Flouxetine. I have been experiencing some mood swings, but nothing I cannot tackle with the techniques I learned in therapy.

Hope everyone is well, and will have something fun to look forward this weekend.

Sending you safe hugs, Wanna. ❤️ Good luck working on the weekend! And I hope that you're able to handle side effects from stopping the medication. Best wishes. :)

I hope work is not too much this weekend, and caramel popcorn and ice tea sounds like a lovely combination.

Quitting Flouxetine is a challenge, and I understand mood swings may happen. I do hope you find balance soon. Take good care 💜

  24. Hello! Popping in and wishing you welcome! I am Wanna by the way I am deeply and sincerely sorry for your trauma and that comes with. Please know, we believe you, and you are not alone. Yes, I think we somehow feel validation once we understand that our struggle is real. I suffer memory loss after my trauma, and have been afraid I suppressed giving consent. However, one doesn´t feel this way without reason. I personally think a person affected by substance cannot give consent. I am glad you came here, I think you could use a place like this. After Silence is a safe community where
  25. Boy what a day! I set the alarm at 5 am, so I could be at work by 7 am. As I got off my 7 hour shift, I went to the store to buy some buns and pepsi, and went to my friend's. She had two fur babies that day, her own and one she was watching. We sat outside, and a couple of neighbors joined us. One of them brought a fur baby as well. So we ended up being 3 girls and 3 doggos. I had brilliant sushi.

Am home now, 16 hours after that I left.
